Starting with shredded beef makes this a quick and easy dinner recipe you can make at home or out at the campsite. Marinating the beef in soy sauce and brown sugar gives this a ton of flavor, just add some rice and veggies you have a complete meal.
½tspGinger (I typically use dry ginger but you could use fresh. Use 2 tbsp if you are using fresh ground ginger.)
½tspGround Black Pepper
½tspChili Flakes(I use Mother in Law's Korean Chili Flakes)
2tspSesame Oil
4clovesMinced Garlic
1lbShredded Beef
1bunchChopped Green Onions
Instructions
Mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, pepper, chili flakes, and half the sesame oil. Pour the marinade over the ground beef and place in refrigerator to marinate for at least 1 hour.
Heat the sesame oil in pan over medium heat and saute the garlic until fragrant.
Add the marinated beef to the pan and saute until cooked 5 - 10 mins. We personally like a little crispy sugar crust so we cook it closer to 10 mins.
Serve the beef over rice and sprinkle with the chopped green onions.
Notes
I like to serve this with broccoli either on the side or you could mix it in if you chop it small.
